OUR MISSION

To enhance the lives of Kings County residents and friends by providing a center to experience the visual arts.

Scheduling ten exhibits per year in the Marcellus Gallery, our guests can enjoy stunning works of photography, sculpture, fiber art, drawings, and paintings created by local and guest artists.

The Kings County Art League offers an annual juried show, The Mother's Day "ART IN THE PARK" exhibit. All adults are welcome to enter their art work for cash prizes and ribbons. In addition, they sponser the yearly YOUNG MASTERS' show in December. The League supplies the refreshments for all opening receptions prior to new gallery exhibits. The League also present many educational art demonstrations throughout the year.

The Kings Art Guild hosts many fundraising events throughout the year, benefiting the Kings Art Center. The most popular of these events is the Annual Art Center Gala held in September. The Kings Art Guild also holds an annual Christmas Home Tour.

In addition to our gallery exhibits, we are an art education center. We offer a year around program consisting of a variety of art classes serving up to 600 children and adults per year. .

As part of our yearly education program, the Center offers art instruction to students attending the Kings County After School Program.

The Kings County Art Center Foundation, Inc. is Governed by an Executive Committee and a Board of Trustees. Our long range goals are to continue to offer art programs and services to the public, members, and students of the County. Support for these programs comes from memberships and donations.
